Supporting students in language and literacy skills.

We bridge the gap. Shannon Zinger is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist who has extensive experience in supporting children & teens (ages 6-18 years old) with language and literacy development. She has a passion and drive for ensuring our future generations are well equipped with the skills they need to succeed in school, post secondary and their future careers.

Every child needs the opportunity to feel successful.

Many children struggle with literacy skills and not all will have the opportunity to get individual assistance to help them understand why and how they are struggling.

As children become adolescents, these difficulties can become more noticeable as work levels and demands rise after grade 3. As they transition to middle school, high school, or even post-secondary the demands for language and literacy in the educational curriculum rise, as do expectations for independent learning.

The result is that they are putting in a great effort, but not seeing the benefit of all their hard work. Some become frustrated and overwhelmed because they are not meeting academic expectations, which can lead to stress and anxiety.

Speech-language pathologists play a significant role in identifying struggles in speaking, listening, reading and writing. We provide students with strategies to bridge the gaps that aren’t always taught in school.

Our mission is to empower students, coach parents, and collaborate with teachers so our student feels successful in their academic achievements and social connections.
